Though she was born from parents who were making enough to survive in the post-mess world, only one of them was an other and the second was a human. Many kinds of others can mate with humans, but only a few ever do, especially in the post-mess world. Apple's parents had once worked for Domingo, until their affair and their daughter were exposed. They were forced out. Apple K's mother died before she could remember, and at that her father joined with Jimmy's group. Learning what she could from an other named Chiv, Apple K discovered the usefulness of her two smaller arms. After her father died, she became a fighting member of Jimmy's group. Though she was sent on missions, her primary concern was to watch over and protect Damian DeMarco when he arrived as a 16-year old. It was a high responsibility for her, one she became better at as the years went on. |
