Name: Claire Age: 19 Water Use: Can drink contaminated water First Appearance: 11/08/2005 INFORMATION Claire was a true orphan of the new world. Her memory is hazy, as she never clung to any specific memories, but as far back as her memories go, she was a child of the street. She begged at times to no avail, and stole when she could. She often got into scrapes with others for food. She never joined a gang or went into prostitution, and this earned her a lonely existence. A peculiar girl, she made a lot of bad decisions, yet somehow managed to come out of them relatively unharmed. What might've been her biggest mistake resulted in her joining with the Coiling Spine. Most peculiar about her was her ability to drink contaminated water, something she never understood, but didn't worry too much about. It started with thirst, and she watched others dying of thirst turn to dying of poisoning from the wild water. She went for it anyway, if only to quench her thirst. She got sick, but then she miraculously improved. It happened again later, with sickness and health. And again. And then at some point, she stopped getting sick at all. This one worry gone gave her an edge of survival over others of the least fortunate residents of post-mess Earth. |
