Name: Elaine Age: 19 Water Use: Needs clean water to survive First Appearance: 05/19/2005 INFORMATION Elaine was a strange enigma when Codine first revealed her in Domingo's network. For a while, she didn't do much except live there, sharing in Codine's supplies and awaiting his return from missions. Few people talked to her, out of fear of Codine, though no one tried to touch her either. She remained lively and spoke to them, gaining an air of kindness most could feel in Codine. What was remarkable about her was her perseverence. Her legs were wrong somehow, improperly grown, but she made sure not to be a simple burden. She gained the almost miraculous ability to mend weapons, fixing old ones or piecing together new ones. Unfortunately for Domingo, she didn't make them for just anyone. She made one large piece for herself, her arms strong in place of her legs, which worked but not wonderfully. She fixed one for Antonina, and ones for a few select others she considered friends, ones who had taken the time to speak to her in spite of her enormous guardian. As Codine acted as a surrogate father, so Antonina became a surrogate elder sister, with the positive and negative attributes of that relationship following, in a post-mess way.
